This Editorial Spot illustration was created for a Digital Illustration course and was inspired by an article discussing the positive impact of gardening on mental health. To represent the mental health aspect of the article, I used imagery of flowers, vegetables, and vines growing out of the subject's head. To further emphasize the gardening theme, I made the subject's earring a shovel and watering can, and I drew her eyebrows as grass instead of hair. I chose an earthy color scheme with flowy brushstrokes to keep the illustration calm and nature-driven. This illustration was created over the course of a week and was made on Adobe Photoshop.
